  • Donette L. Bish, D.O.- Dr. Donette Bish was born in Lennox, Iowa. She received her undergraduate degree from Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, IA and then attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (Kirksville, MO) where she received her medical degree. She trained in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Metropolitan Hospital in association with State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine
  • Griffith G. "Jack" Walters, M.D. - Dr. Walters completed his medical degree at Medical University of South Carolina and residency at Anmed Health Family Medicine in South Carolina. Dr. Walters is excited to be back in Alabama where he is closer to his family. He looks forward to providing care to the community and is now accepting new patients.
  • Robert L. Gilliam, M.D. - Dr. Robert Gilliam was born in Dayton, Ohio and received his Letter of Honor in Pediatrics & Family Practice and his Letter of Commendation in Internal Medicine from Ohio State University. He completed his rotating internship and residency in Family Practice at Florida Hospital in Orlando, where he also served as Chief Resident. After that, he served as Director of the ER and private practice at St. Cloud Hospital followed by Adventist Health Systems. He came to SARHA Doctors Center in 1990 and served as Medical Director 1996-2016.
  • Robert Alan Wade, CPNP- Alan is originally from Walker County, Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2001. He then received his Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham 2003. Alan specializes in pediatrics with 20 years’ experience at Children’s Health System in Birmingham, AL . He also worked in the Pediatric Emergency Department at both Emergency Medical Associates of Tampa at St. Joseph’s (Tampa, FL) and TEAM Health at Capitol Regional Medical Center (Tallahassee, FL). Alan now resides in Troy, AL with his wife Dana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is also employed by SARHA.
  • Amy E. Brown, M.D.- Dr. Brown was born in Dothan, Al and grew up in the Phenix City, AL/ Columbus, GA area. She attended college in Nashville, TN at Trevecca Nazarene University. She then went on to Medical School at Ross University School of Medicine. She recently completed her pediatric residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Dr. Brown has special interests in pediatric injury prevention and improving the health of children by improving the health of families.
  • David E. Runyon, M.D.- Dr. David Runyon was born in San Jose, California and attended medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Mercy Redding Family Practice Residency Program. He is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, an active member and diplomat of the American Academy of Family Practice and an active member of the American Medical Association.
  • Ben A. Smith, D.O.- Dr. Ben Smith was born in Montgomery and attended Medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is SARHA’s Medical Director and is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
  • Carol W. Morrison, CRNP- Nurse Practitioner Carol Morrison moved to Luverne shortly after birth and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Troy University. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama in the school’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program. She currently divides her time between SARHA Doctors Center and Dozier Family Health Center. She is certified with both the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of Nurse Practitioner Alliance Alabama, Wiregrass Nurse Practitioner Organization, American Nurses Association, Alabama Nurses Association, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She lives in Brantley with her son Wade.
  • Jeff Edgington, CRNP- Jeff Edgington was born in Ft. Campbell, KY and received his Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialty of Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. He is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
  • Brandi Dowling, NP-C - Brandi was born and raised in Enterprise, Alabama and she currently resides there. She attended Auburn University Montgomery where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty of Family Nurse Practitioner from Troy University where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Brandi is a member of the Wiregrass Nurse Practitioner Association and she looks forward to providing care to the community.
